Thanks to Worawa Aboriginal College’s partnership with the Jim Stynes Foundation, two students have enjoyed an inspiring week of work experience with the Melbourne Football Club.
Following their participation in the AFLW x Worawa Leadership Course, students Elena and Tilly were selected for the opportunity as recognition for their outstanding leadership and commitment to personal growth.
During the week, Elena and Tilly explored the wide range of roles that bring a football club to life, spending time across various departments within both the AFLW program and club administration.
The experience offered a behind-the-scenes look at the teamwork, professionalism, and dedication that drive success on and off the field.
Elena quote:
“I enjoyed doing work experience at Melbourne Football Club, the most exciting part was getting to watch the AFLW team train.
"I really enjoyed getting to be a part of the experience and would love to go back."
Tilly quote:
“I enjoyed the work experience and had a lot of fun learning how to communicate with the different teams.
"It was fun and great learning different teamwork skills through the tasks that were given to us. The most exciting part was getting to train with the AFLW team and learn some teamwork skills with them. I would love to go back."

Melbourne Football Club CEO Paul Guerra quote:
